Israel is gearing up to make a significant impact at the upcoming COP 28 (Conference of Parties) in Dubai, as it plans to invest NIS 8 million to bring a delegation of 1,000 people to the conference. This delegation will include more than 100 Israeli climate and related technology companies, showcasing the nation’s commitment to addressing climate change.

The Economy Ministry of Israel is carefully selecting 30 companies, ranging from startups to established players, to present their innovative ideas in the Israeli pavilion at COP 28. This pavilion will be marketed under the tagline “Climate of Innovation,” reflecting Israel’s reputation as a hub for technological advancements in the field of climate change.

During the two-week conference, Israel will participate in approximately 70 events, aiming to actively contribute to discussions surrounding the impact of climate change. The country will heavily invest in public relations, highlighting its solutions and initiatives to combat climate change.

The primary goal of COP 28 is to address the pressing issues related to climate change, including the rise in extreme weather events and the urgent need to prepare vulnerable populations. Israel, being home to approximately 700 climate-tech companies, intends to share its expertise and solutions with the international community at this conference.

In a bid to demonstrate its commitment to addressing climate change on a global scale, Israel plans to send a delegation of 1,000 people to the United Nations climate conference. Significantly, this delegation will be led by the Prime Minister and President of Israel, underlining the nation’s dedication to tackling this global crisis.

Israel’s investment in bringing such a substantial delegation to COP 28 not only showcases its commitment to climate change but also highlights its determination to contribute to the international efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change. With its thriving climate-tech sector, Israel is well-positioned to offer innovative solutions and make a meaningful impact at the conference.
