Project Description

The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty adopted in 1997, aiming to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It sets binding targets for developed countries to reduce their emissions of six greenhouse gases over a specified commitment period. The protocol established mechanisms such as emissions trading, clean development mechanisms, and joint implementation to facilitate compliance with these targets and promote international cooperation in addressing climate change.
