Meta, the tech giant previously known as Facebook, has recently unveiled a series of new tools aimed at enhancing communication between businesses and their customers on WhatsApp. These new features include Meta Verified availability and enhanced business calling, as well as a WhatsApp AI assistant for superior customer service.

The WhatsApp AI assistant is designed to improve customer service significantly. This intelligent assistant will be trained to rapidly answer common business queries, thus providing faster customer support. Additionally, the AI tool will assist businesses in creating more effective and targeted ads on Facebook and Instagram.

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is a popular platform for businesses. Over 50 million companies reportedly use WhatsApp Business, which has led to an impressive 127% increase in sales and a 225% boost in customer service standards. As such, the introduction of these new features is expected to streamline operations further and boost customer engagement and satisfaction.

The Meta Verified feature will be launched on the WhatsApp Business app in four key markets: Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Colombia. This feature offers improved account assistance and multi-device support, providing businesses with a more efficient and user-friendly platform.

In addition to the WhatsApp AI assistant and Meta Verified, WhatsApp is also integrating an AI-driven ad targeting program. This program is currently being tested with select merchants in India and Singapore, with plans for expansion in Brazil already in progress. The AI tools embedded in WhatsApp will help businesses create personalised ads, reminding customers of items in their carts or offering discounts on awaited purchases.

Industry experts predict that small business owners will be the first to adopt Meta’s AI capabilities for creating and delivering targeted ads on WhatsApp. These new tools and features are expected to revolutionize business-customer communication, placing Meta at the forefront of AI-driven customer service and marketing strategies.
