In the previous analyses we’ve published relating to the election, there has been strong crisis, risk and security, as well as an often negative media sentiment. That all seems to have changed as former Vice President Biden is on the cusp of an electoral victory.
Looking at the article analysis for CNN’s piece on the remaining battleground state electoral outcomes, there is a positive media sentiment, no presence of crisis language whatsoever, and a low risk score. This could be a result of a more defined race (uncertainty seems to lead to higher risk scores and less positive media sentiment), or perhaps the President is onto something when he decries mainstream media bias. Whatever the reason may be, CNN’s coverage of the narrowing reelection path for President Trump tends to be positive.
