Apple, the technology giant, is advancing its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings with a new suite of tools. Although this suite doesn’t yet have an official name, it includes upgrades to Siri, message writing assistance, and more detailed notification summaries. These AI features are gradually being rolled out in iOS updates and are optimized for the latest iPhone models, such as the iPhone 15 series. They’re also available on newer Mac computers and iPads with Apple’s M-series chips.
Some AI features may require users to join beta testing programs, as Apple typically releases new features gradually. This approach aims to improve user experience through more natural interactions and enhanced notifications. Apple’s updates come as part of a broader trend, with rivals like Google offering real-time translation and note organization and Samsung incorporating drawing-based searches.
Apple is also reportedly working on new AI tools. Upcoming features may include generative AI functions, such as creating images and emojis from text. To ensure security, Apple is continuing its bounty program, offering up to $1 million to anyone who identifies vulnerabilities in its software, with a focus on AI security.
The competition in AI tools is heating up, with Samsung planning to extend its Galaxy AI to over 100 million users by 2024.
In addition, Apple’s Photos app now includes a feature similar to Google’s Magic Eraser. This tool lets users remove unwanted items or people from photos. In a recent statement, CEO Tim Cook emphasized Apple’s focus on quality over speed, reaffirming the company’s commitment to offering top-quality products rather than rushing releases.
