Project Description

Food Security  is the condition in which all people, at all times, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

Connection to Climate Change: Climate change can disrupt food security by causing extreme weather events, altering crop growing conditions, and affecting food supply chains. This can lead to food shortages, price volatility, and increased food insecurity, particularly in vulnerable regions. Addressing climate change is crucial for ensuring long-term global food security.
